Supervision course
Clear expectations.
Dependable support.
For people responsible for coordinating the work of others. Plan effectively, brief clearly and address difficult issues with fairness and care.
The course in practice

Teaching, practice and reflection.
Structured teaching is combined with discussion, workshops, practical scenarios, peer feedback and guided reflection. Examples are connected to the responsibilities participants hold in their own organisation.
Available as a standard course or adapted for an organisation. The proposal confirms the programme length, participants, location, delivery arrangements and price before booking. Specialist experiential activities are optional and agreed separately.
Who it is for
Choose by responsibility.
Team leaders, supervisors, project and programme managers, operational or shift managers, department coordinators and others who oversee delivery.
Supervisors connect organisational expectations with the reality of the work. They need to keep delivery moving, recognise when people need support and make practical adjustments as conditions change.
The learning
What participants work on.
- Structured planning and coordination using the Foresight Framework
- Supporting people when workloads are high or deadlines are short
- Fair performance conversations and clear expectations
- Briefing, feedback and review that people can act on
- Responding constructively to disruption, drift or disengagement
- Maintaining cooperation and professional standards with limited resources
Learning through practice.
Scenario discussions and exercises bring competing priorities into the room. Participants practise making the situation clear, agreeing responsibilities and reviewing a plan when time or information is limited.
Structured teaching, practical exercises, peer feedback and reflection connect the learning to participants’ own teams. The course can stand alone or form part of a wider development programme.
Standards and care
belong together.
The Foresight Management Framework supports decisions about what needs to happen. The Behavioural System develops how people manage, follow, lead and command. Command is exercised by consent, with responsibility for decisions and for the people involved.
Feedback and debriefs focus on learning, behaviour and the work. Questions and constructive challenge are part of the process.
Plan the right programme.
Coaching can support supervisors as they apply the approach to real decisions and working relationships.
